Synopsis

ENGLISH

Natalia, Mariela and Josefina have just finished high school and they’re all in love with Diego. Natalia has always had the most chemistry with him, but just when it seems their friendship will turn into something more, Silvia appears on the scene. Older and more experienced, she soon captures Diego’s attention. Our protagonist suddenly finds herself having to deal with heartbreak, rejection and the fear of losing everything. With the help of her grandma, Rita, Natalia decides to call on dark incantations and curses to jinx Diego and Silvia’s blossoming relationship.

Natalia, Mariela och Josefina har precis avslutat gymnasiet och är alla kära i Diego. Natalia har alltid haft mest kemi med honom, men precis när det verkar som att deras vänskap kommer att utvecklas till något mer, dyker Silvia upp på scenen. Äldre och mer erfaren fångar hon snart Diegos uppmärksamhet. Natalia är plötsligt tvungen att hantera hjärtesorg, avvisande och rädsla för att förlora allt. Med hjälp av sin mormor, Rita, bestämmer sig Natalia för att åberopa mörka besvärjelser och förbannelser för att förstöra Diegos och Silvias blomstrande förhållande.

Director’s Bio

Laura Casabe

is a producer, screenwriter and film director. She has made more than 50 award-winning short films, including La vuelta del Malón, winner of the Audience Award for best national short film at the INCAA Short Film Night. As an audiovisual director she worked in documentary television programs for the Argentine cultural television filmed in Latin America and Europe. In 2016 she released her film La Valija de Benavidez, which premiered in the Blood Window section of the Marche du Film at the Cannes Film Festival, then toured different film festivals including Sitges and Bafici and received 7 international awards. In 2019 she premieres her film “Los que vuelven” and wins at the Mar De Plata Festival receiving awards among which are Best Iberoamerican film, Mercosur and Best Direction at the Sitges International Film Festival.
