Synopsis

Sam escapes from the hospital where she is being treated for cancer. She heads for a mountain sacred to the Māori people, where she can be freed from her illness. Along the way, she meets Bronco and Mallory, and together they form an unlikely trio. An exciting and comical adventure in the New Zealand wilderness awaits.

Rachel House

Rachel House is a New Zealand actress and director. In 2002, she appeared in the award-winning feature film Whale Rider. In 2008, House appeared in Taika Waititi’s first feature film Eagle vs Shark and has since become a recurring collaborator of his. In 2024, her first feature film premiered, The Mountain, a gripping drama about three children who embark on an adventure to heal, under the watchful eye of Taranaki Mounga, and who along the way discover the power of friendship and the power of nature.
